Satimat

Satimat is our premium, silk-coated paper that’s wood-free and FSC® Mix certified. As well as offering the fastest drying time in its field, very good bulk and excellent opacity for heavy ink loads, its high quality, smooth surface ensures excellent runnability, printability and whiteness (CIE 124).

Made from FSC® Mix certified pulp, Satimat is part of the widest range of FSC® Mix certified sustainable papers available.

Suitable Applications

Satimat is ideal for:

Reports and accounts, brochures, leaflets, direct mail, books (silk finish), catalogues, luxury magazines, greeting cards, invitations, menus, business cards, posters (depending on required opacity) and envelopes.

Printing recommendations

Prepress recommendations:

  • Screen rulings (Max 200 lpi)
  • For heavy ink loads, work Under-colour-removal (UCR) is recommended

Printing recommendations:

  • Guaranteed for Offset litho
  • HP indigo certified
  • Suitable for silk screen printing
  • Sheets suitable for letter press
  • Suitable for use in mono and colour laser printers and dry toner
  • Recommended fount solution wet pH 5.5 +/- 0.5
  • Suitable for HSWO (heat set web offset): keep web temperature to a max. of 150° centigrade
  • Compatible with IR-drying and UV-curing
  • Suitable for all offset varnishes, acrylic and UV

Converting recommendations:

  • Suitable for foil lamination, hot-foil blocking / cold foil blocking
  • Suitable for blind embossing - avoid sharp edges on tools
  • Suitable for die cutting and perforation
  • Folding pre-creasing recommended for >150 gsm
  • Suitable for clamps, wire thread and adhesive binding
