Arjowiggins Graphic, the leading manufacturer of environmental paper solutions, has teamed up with Antalis to attempt to break a Guinness World Record™ later this month at the Young Carers Festival 2012. The total number of participants was 802, although this number is still to be verified by Guinness World Records™.
Taking place between Friday 29th June and Sunday 1st July, the festival will see the two companies team up with young carers trying to break the Guinness World Record™ for the greatest number of people wearing paper hats at a single venue.
The festival, jointly organised by The Children’s Society and YMCA Fairthorne Manor in Southampton, provides young carers throughout the UK with a weekend of fun and friendship, giving them the opportunity to take a break from their responsibilities.
Antalis donated CyclusOffset 350gsm 100% recycled paper to make 1,500 paper hats for participants to wear for a duration of 10 minutes in order to break the Guinness World Record™. Achieved in November 2011 by South Worcestershire College in Evesham, the previous record stands at 390.
Angela De Vorchik, Operational Marketing Manager at Arjowiggins Graphic, comments:
“We are very much looking forward to attempting to break the Guinness World Record™ at the Young Carers Festival. We hope that the attempt brings an added element of fun to the festival’s Closing Ceremony and gives the inspirational young carers the chance to be a part of Guinness World Record™ history.”
CyclusOffset is a 100% recycled uncoated, natural white offset paper with excellent opacity, which offers an unrivalled print finish.
