Using digital and real life media and incorporating paper has made ‘Paperworld’ our most successful video yet.
Olly Hill, Visual Effects Supervisor at Banana Split commented:
“We developed the concept of Paperworld; inside this world there is a young girl who is discovering all the paper elements as it gradually unfolds. On top of this there are lots of digital elements including green-screen and 3D Cinema.
There were various challenges with designing the animals; one of the main issues was coming up with the movement. Obviously you need to make sure the movement of each animal sells itself as natural but they are also made of paper so there are obvious limitations to organic movement.”
