Colour in Print
FE Burman was selected as the print partner for North’s Ling Ling brand book, which won Best in Digital Print at the Antalis Review in 2016. Our initial print run produced 200 books and having seen the quality of the finished product, Arjowiggins Graphic and Antalis asked us to reproduce the book to be able to demonstrate the capabilities of Cyclus Offset and Digigreen for their latest campaign.
The book was originally produced to support Hakkasan Group in the opening of Ling Ling as a standalone restaurant/night club concept internationally. It is a unique design concept that involved 10 different covers and 5 different fabric spines, with a significant level of colour and brightness.
We’ve worked with North for a long time and they were impressed with what we can achieve with our HP Indigo Presses, so came to us to support in the development of the Ling Ling Book.
With 10 different covers, variable text and a high level of vibrant colour throughout, the HP Indigo press is an excellent option because every sheet can be different and it delivers excellent print quality.
It was North that selected Cyclus Offset as the text paper for the job but we were delighted as it’s very unique. No other product is quite like it, because it’s both recycled and uncoated with an excellent quality. Before the paper selection was finalised, due to HP Indigo flexibility, we were able to produce a full printed sample to demonstrate how well the product performed and show how well the colour pallet was represented with Cyclus Offset on the HP Indigo Printer.
Both the print quality of Digigreen and Cyclus Offset and also the efficiency and technology of the HP Indigo press has enabled us to produce a product of excellent quality and colour vibrancy.
